That's my team, not Moyes'.
I don't rate any of our full backs, we always leak goals and I think Haller is a lazy cunt.
So I would play 3 at the back to steady us and hopefully keep the goals out.
3 at the back means Fredericks and Masuaku have cover when they are out of a defensive position. It allows Rice to get on the ball and bring the ball out.
It allows Fredericks and Masuaku to get forward which they are better at rather than defending. Masuaku also has pace compared to Cresswell and can get up and down the pitch quicker. He is also left footed and brings balance on that side compared to Johnson.
Cresswell would get destroyed against Saint Maximim and Johnson was awful against Bournemouth. At least Fredericks and Masuaku have pace and are better offensively than the other two.
I think Rice will help Diop keep his concentration and get him through the game.
I'd have Fornals in the centre instead of Noble as Noble just slows takes the pace out of the team and slows us right down. Fornals and Soucek have bags of energy in the middle.
Yarmolenko has goals in him and Antonio deserves to keep his central role. Haller needs to prove his worth to get back in.

With the same squad as we finished last season, I'm not expecting too much from this game. The loss to Bournemouth proved to me that we are not going to be challenging for a top 10 spot.
Every year the season starts with me hoping the season will prove a real turning point for the club and every year I find myself disappointed.
Come on West Ham, please prove me wrong.

Mid-table mediocrity and the odd flirtation with the top ten will do me fine this season.
Can't see us not conceding tonight but I think we'll have enough to scrape a 2 - 1 win, Antonio and Soucek to score.

Soucek's presence makes me think the most likely result is a narrow win for us.
I expect to score more goals in my six-a-side immediately beforehand, though.
(6-a-side games are usually high scoring, so it's not much of a boast)
